Air quality in Ajapnyak district is calculated from 9 active monitoring stations. This page shows the current AQI and PM2.5, measurement map and historical air pollution trends.
Ajapnyak occupies western Yerevan, mainly on the right bank of the Hrazdan River. The district rises from the gorge towards the city's open western outskirts and borders the main roads leading towards Ashtarak.
Ajapnyak combines large housing estates, private homes, new residential developments and areas of active construction. Kyiv Bridge, the Hrazdan Gorge and the main western roads are key landmarks, while exposed ground and production sites are found towards the outskirts.
The most persistent pollution episodes in Ajapnyak occur during the cold months from November through March. Near major roads and construction areas, local dust events are also possible during the dry season, while exposed higher ground generally ventilates better.
Ajapnyak's western neighbourhoods have a dry continental climate and noticeable differences in elevation. Summers are hot and dry, winters are cold, and the exposed terrain makes wind an important part of local weather.
